seemyCity.com was created out of the needs of two “travel junkie” baby boomers who found the real benefits of using a private guide on their many trips abroad.
Instead of being herded like sheep from tourist stop to tourist stop, they knew there was a better way to see and learn about the real cultures and peoples of the places they visited.
Together, the pair has logged over 1.5 million miles traveling in the United States and abroad. After spending many hours on the internet finding guides for their own upcoming travel expeditions, the idea to create a centralized place for others like them to connect with local guides who could offer the personalized, local experience was born and seemyCity.com was launched in 2008.
seemyCity.com takes the research time out of looking for a guide and allows the independent traveler to tailor their travels to really focus on what they want to see, not what the tour company who is serving the masses wants to show them.
Many of the guides listed in seemyCity.com have been used by the founders in their past adventures abroad. In the Forum section, they and other travelers have listed their comments and feedback to assist future travelers in selecting the right guide for their journey.
seemyCity.com is designed to be an evolving site, tailored to the needs and wishes of the many travelers who want to do more than scratch the surface of the countries they visit.
