A The Guide Terms and Conditions simply outline the rules and conduct that seemyCity.com and the Guide will follow, as a condition of the Guide signing up to post his/her profile. The more positive feedbacks you receive, the more stars you receive in your ratings. Receiving positive feedback about your services increases the chances that new travelers will want to contact you.

The most important way to increase travelers seeking you services is to completing fill out the profile information with as much accuracy and detail as possible.

Are there ways to earn free extensions to my membership?

A Yes, seemyCity.com has a “Refer a Friend“program for its guides. If a Guide refers another guide to join the site, they will be credited with 1 month’s extension of their listing profile. After I enter the information in my profile can I change it?

A Yes, Guides create a user name and password so that they can update their profile as needed to insure it reflects the most current and accurate information for the travelers to review. The opportunity to update the profile is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week and the update takes place automatically after the data is entered and saved.

Who do I contact if I have trouble when I try to sign up or changing my profile?

A If you have trouble during the signup phase or changing your profile, contact guidesupport@seemyCity.com for assistance. Include all your contact information that is applicable (username, guide identification number, name, telephone and email) and a description of the problem.

Will I be notified when my subscription is about to end?

A Yes, seemyCity.com will email you to tell you your listing period is expiring 30 days before the end of the listing. It is your responsibility to sign in to your profile and renew at that time or your profile will be automatically deleted after the listing expires.

How does the survey form in seemyCity.com work?

A To increase your online exposure and guide bookings, seemyCity.com has created a simple survey that your clients can complete and is automatically returned to our website with comments about their time with you. The benefit for you is increased exposure by allowing new travelers the opportunity to review other traveler’s comments about your service. In addition, the survey results from your travelers will add to a Guide Rating that can further increase your popularity on the seemyCity.com. To use this service, you must login to your account and then follow the link to the Survey Section.

Will I receive a confirmation once I have completed my listing process?

A Yes, after completing the listing process, you will receive a receipt via email showing the payment received. The receipt will be in a text form (not HTML).

A No, the option to include photo of yourself is totally your choice. We strongly recommend you include a photo of yourself as it provides traveler more information about who they are considering for the Guide and may increase your chances of gaining new customers.

A You will receive an email from us indicating your credit card was not approved and that your listing was not completed on the website. It is your responsibility to contact the bank or other financial institution to clear up anything that is causing your credit card to be declined.

A As indicated in the Guides Terms and Conditions, you will be included in the listings of the countries, regions and cities you list in your profile. Anyone searching for guides with these geographic areas will have the opportunity to view your listing. In addition, if you chose to use the enhanced listing features, your profile may be also listed in the Featured Guides and Priority section of the website. Also, through the Keyword search, your listing will be included if any of the Keywords are a match. Also, Travelers may brose your listing by clicking on the country and specific areas you offer guide services in.

In addition Guides will be able to generate reports to view about how many times their profile is viewed for a given set of dates. Also, the Guide can generate a report to view how many times their email address is clicked on from their profile.

seemyCity also offers the Guide a Survey Form that can be sent to any of the Guides customers, past or present, even if they did not come from the seemyCity.com website. Once completed by the customers, the information is posted to the seemyCity.com website and allows each guide to build a reference and rating system about their services. Guides with higher ratings are sought out by travelers as another means of checking the quality and reputation of your service.

A There is no one thing that insures a Traveler will select you to contact for a possible tour however, being honest with all of the questions is most important. Whatever services, information or features you may offer in your Profile need to be what you present in your tours. A traveler who is happy and satisfied with your service will tell his friends and co-workers will generate more business for you by personal referral. Likewise, it you say you can speak a certain language and cannot, our Traveler’s experience may be very negative and in turn, you will receive no personal referrals.

Is my membership fee refundable if I change my mind?

A No, once you sign up for seemyCity.com, the listing fee is non refundable, The specific of this can be found in the Guide Terms and Conditions which are presented prior to signing up for your review and consent.

How can I receive a discount on the membership price?

A seemyCity.com offers an Auto Renew feature during the signup process. Agreeing to automatically renew at the end of base term will save you 10% on your initial base listing fee. Auto Renew allows your credit card to be automatically billed when the renewal period comes around, saving administrative expense for us.

Is it necessary to complete all fields when creating my profile?

A The seemyCity profile is the place travelers will go to learn about your services and knowledge. If there is missing information, they cannot learn about you. A form with incomplete or missing information appears unprofessional. A traveler may be concerned about spending their time and money with a company or individual who appears unorganized and incomplete.

A Travelers want to know and most have a preference for, the age of their guide. Some want older, some want younger. If you do not list it, they may pass you by without consideration.

How can I list my Experience, Licenses, Awards, Certificates, and/or Education?

A It is important to complete the field for Experience, Licenses, Awards, Certificates, Education when creating your profile. This is where you can share your many credentials and certifications with the travelers. If you are licensed, say that. If you have a college degree or other special education, list that. If you are a member of a travel guide group or received an award, list that also. All these things communicate to the traveler your knowledge and experience.

Why do I need to include my full contact information in my profile?

A Phone, Mobile, Fax and Mailing Address should be completed for all Guides. It is important to show the traveler that you are a professional with an established history. Not listing an address may cause some travelers to not select you. The traveler may be planning to stay nearby to your address and this will be a major help in their selection of you as their guide.
