SeeMyCity is 2 years old!

These days we are celebrating our 2 years anniversary.

It has been a busy, but very fun 2 years. SeeMyCity’s very first project SeeMyAlmere began in February 2012. With the help of Almere Citymarketing we organized a mobile photography workshop and contest which ended with an exhibition in the town hall of Almere.

The project was a test to see if the concept and idea of SeeMyCity would work, done with next to no budget and a lot of motivation and effort from the SeeMyCity members. Based on the reactions and media coverage we received, as well as the stunning photography that was done, we found the project a great success, one that put Almere on the map internationally as well as nationally as a city worth visiting and living in.

After Almere we followed up with Rotterdam, Oslo, Leuven and our current project SeeMyDoha. All projects have resulted in stunning city photography and have been the starting point for many mobile photographers and Instagramers. We’re looking forward to continuing our success and capturing new cities around the world. To celebrate our anniversary, our member Jeroen Moor made this tribute video clip
